So, if you haven’t heard by now, you would have loved to have been at the Waimea Falls last night for a VIP 300 invite only Quiksilver party with Pearl Jam as the musical entertainment for the evening. Yes, it’s true, Eddie Vedar himself along with his band played a two hour concert last night at the Quiksilver private party on the North Shore for the openning of the Quiksilver Big Wave Invitational in Memory of Eddie Aikau contest. The show rocked and it was the best thing to hit the North Shore since surfing itself.

Everyone who is anyone in surfing was there singing and rocking out on the dance floor to Pearl Jam songs. Sofia Mulanovich, Kassia Meador, Megan Abubo, Rosie Hodge, Kelly Slater, Tom Carroll, and a few high profile celebrities were just a few of the VIPs. Pearl Jam was requested on stage for two encores and the grand finale was when Kelly Slater himself got on stage and jammed out with Pearl Jam. Everyone in the crowd was amazed to see how good Kelly was, not only is Kelly ridiculously good looking, 8 time "SL8R" world champion, but he can sing and play a concert with Pearl Jam! He was seriously great and looked so comfortable on stage. Eddie Vedar also played a couple acoustic songs on the ukulele to celebrate some Hawaiian roots. It was quite a show that will go down in history, and especially on the North Shore, as one of the best parties ever. Quiksilver sure knows how to throw a party and we owe it to owner Mr. Bob McKnight himself who made it happen.
