December 5, 2008 - With two of the three Vans Triple Crown events out
of the way all eyes are turned to the Billabong Pipeline Masters where
a new Vans Triple Crown of Surfing champion will be crowned.Hawaiian Dusty Payne has placed solidly in the Reef Hawaiian Pro and the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing giving him the lead in the current Triple Crown ratings. Close behind sitting at second place is O'Neill World Cup of Surfing winner CJ Hobgood and at fourth in the rankings, Reef winner Michel Bourez. Aussie stylemaster Joel Parkinson sits solidly in third place.
